At Østergade 57 there is an unusual museum established by the silverware manufacturer Frederik Ernst. His father, Johan Emst, founded a silverware manufactory in 1890 that in the early 2Oth
century grew to one of the largest in Denmark, producing several tonnes of silver cutlery a year. Both industrialists collected old silver, although Frederik displayed an exceptional interest in antiques.
